Zoo Loves You

This show was held after Valentine’s Day, so the theme had to be nothing but LOVE. Famous love stories were adapted to political and social issues happening at that time. So surely Romeo and Juliet could not be left out of this show. Romeo`s father was a die hard Nationalist aka il-Mimi, whereas Juliet`s father was a staunch Labourite obsessed with Manwel Cuschieri. A lovely musical `The klandestines`featured the most famous love songs and the main talent was no other but Norman Lowell. Ìl-gioco delle coppie`had Joe Electric, Bartolomeo de Soldanis (know better as il-`Kont Naf!`) and Cohlbert, competing to win a date with a lucky girl chosen from the audience. It is a mystery why, but from that show, people started booking back seats first! |
