The Danito Danone Zoo Summer Club!
The Danito Danone Zoo Kids Summer Club Starts on 19th July and ends on the 10th September. Sessions will be held at the City Theatre in Old Bakery Street in Valletta. Sessions will start @ 9.00 and finish @ 12.30. There’s an option of 2, 3, or 5 times a week, transport is also available (at an additional cost, depending on days attending and location).
Kids will be split into different groups according to their age and each team will have a a qualified teacher as a team leader. Everyday the young club member (aged 4 to 8 years) will have two different sessions with different activities, while the senior members (aged 9 to 14 years) will have two to three different sessions. Sessions will include arts, crafts, cooking, sports and interactive games.
Our summer club is also very focused on performing arts, with training sessions in movement, voice, drama, working in front of a camera, prop making, film making and interview techniques. Most of the performing arts sessions will take place on stage at the theatre. Leaders for these sessions will be professionals in the particular art area – Claire, Sander, Daniel & Owen will be leading some of these sessions, with the help of other professionals, such as Corrine Turner, a qualified dancing instructor, and Angie Laus a professional TV presenter and producer.
At the end of the 7 weeks session kids will produce their own end of club performance, under constant supervision and guidance, kids will come up with a performance idea and take care of the costumes needed, take care of the props, choose the music etc. All parents/ guardians will be invited for this special evening.
Throughout the summer club weeks, we will also have a number of outings, such as sports day and cinema day. There will be no extra charges for expenses linked to the outings, such as transport and entrance fees.
As a special treat, our sponsors, Danone Danito, will supply us with a number of products for each club member which will be given out throughout the kids club sessions .
